IRC user since 1997, Twitter user since 2007, Mike Brown could be dubbed one of those “social media gurus” everyone seems to be talking about. Instead, the righteous dude spends his time doing everything from drinking cocktails in Melbourne’s hidden laneway speakeasies to curating video dumpsite myheadlookslikemypenis.com. He has, and still does it all for the nookie.

So the Melbourne International Comedy Festival starts tomorrow, and for the next twenty six days I’m going to be going insane running from venue in order to catch as many shows as possible. I have been picked for The Funny Tonne, a competition where the aim is to attend as many shows as the mind and body can handle. This evil bitch competitor suggests that the current record is at 123, and I want to beat that, however my planning may not be the same as reality - it’s going to be one interesting struggle. I’ll be covering it on Twitter (@brownie_ft which is now public for the next four weeks), on the festival’s Facebook page, here on lamerslame.net, and maybe on another group tumblr depending on what I hear from the festival organisers.

The above is a working bio that will appear on comedyfestival.com.au some time tomorrow. Thoughts/suggestions, if you please?
