Yeah I know..
I’ve been meaning to write the rest of my Stateside trip, but I’ve just been far too busy with everything.
In the meantime, enjoy this video.

It’s been way too long since I’ve sat down and written something, but in all honesty the jetlag is kicking my ass. Going to bed at 9:30 and getting up at 6 isn’t something I do because I want to. Fortunally I’ve recovered enough to sit down and write this. So, time to get on with it.
After a few extra days of activity in the Anaheim region, I got back to Melbourne this morning. I haven’t really been writing because I haven’t been using the internet since I got from Coachella - I’ve had really loaded days causing me to practically fall asleep every night at about 9pm (forget watching Conan).
Over the next week so I’ll write every detail I can remember from my trip (amazingly, I can remember almost everything) including:
Plus a few other bits and pieces my half-awake brain cannot recall at the moment. I’ll probably write about the Comedy Festival too while I’m at it. All I know is, I’m really glad that I didn’t get tickets for Something For Kate tonight.
Greetings from Palm Desert.
Despite my plans of having a Jack Black inspired tasty nap, I got a second wind and headed down to the Disneyland report, passing other hotels and shops in the process (Quiznos, nice). The walk would of been no more then ten minutes, and after picking myself up a two-day park hopper pass, I headed straight into Disney’s California Adventure.
Right before going to the parks, I checked out RideMax and created an lists of rides I wanted to check out. The software allows you to list what rides you want to ride, then connects to their servers with the latest information on wait times at the parks. As a result, I waited no more then 15 minutes in any line in the park, yet every time I got in line their seemed to be a rush of people ready to ride.
I’ve lost track of how many hours I’ve been up for in the last two days. I’d say I’ve had about three hours sleep in about 48 hours tho.
My flight was average, mainly due to the women who wanted to pop her seat back as far as it could go. The meals were average but the entertainment was good (I think I’m hooked on Hustle).
Right now I’m in my hotel room in Anaheim. I was so relieved to hear that I could check in early too, so I kicked back, grabbed myself a Coke and started up the laptop. TV isn’t much choice right now, it’s either law shows similar to Judge Judy or news, so I’m watching ESPNEWS while I decide if I am going to one of the Disney parks today or not. I’d be quite happy to have a nap til about 5 but it would be such a wasted day..
I’m gonna sit here for a while and decide what I’m going to do. Needless to say, I’m going to sleep soundly tonight.
Just got back from a few hours at Mark Watson’s twenty four hour show. Watson (and his band of helpers) were quite funny, but a general message for the person either sitting next to me or behind me, you are allowed to wash. I know it’s a twenty four hour show and all, but you can only make that sort of smell after days of not washing, not hours.
More Comedy Festival thoughts tomorrow, along with the longest ever run of entries on this blog ever as I pull an all-nighter in attempt to complete the Coachella Alphabet.
I’ve been pretty horrible on the update front since I’ve returned from the Gold Coast. Sure I’ve had stuff to write about, but I haven’t got around to it, mainly due to a mixture of work being a bit insane and a lack of free time at night given my fixture of exercise, eating and sleeping.
Fortunately for me, this has slowed down a bit this week which will mean the return of regular rants about television from myself amongst other things. With the Melbourne International Comedy Festival coming up, I’ll be previewing and reviewing several acts I’m seeing, ranging from your standard stand-up comedy shows to your arty-farty story based comedy acts. I always manage to see one act that I can’t get enough of at the Comedy Festival and this year will be no different, I imagine.
I’ll also be starting something that will be called A Coachella Alphabet, looking at each announced act from A to Z. Why would I spend so much time doing this? Because I’m going, of course. Lock it in Eddie, I will be in the desert with 50,000 other insane people listening to some of the better musicians from earth dishing it out, and I can’t wait.
April is going to be one loaded month. Only twenty-five days ’til it begins.
