A Coachella Alphabet: Justice

Name: Justice
Genre: Electronic
Day: Saturday

Wikipedia sez: “Justice are a French electro duo consisting of Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay. They are managed by Pedro Winter (”Busy P”), who also manages Daft Punk and is the head of Ed Banger Records. Justice first came to prominence through their remix of Simian’s track “Never Be Alone”, originally released in 2003 on Ed Banger Records and in 2004 on DJ Hell’s International DeeJay Gigolo Records. The track was eventually given a commercial release in the UK in the summer of 2006, under the title “We Are Your Friends” on Ten Records, a sub-label of Virgin Records.”

There is a fair bit of discussion on the official Coachella message boards about who is better, Tiesto or Justice. Personally my pick is Tiesto but after listening to Justice, they are not far behind. Unlike many trance artists who tend to stick with what they are familiar with, Justice tend to mix it up to still make a mainstream trance sound combined with whatever samples they can get their hands on. Hearing guitar along with electronic piano carefully placed on top of each other sounds awesome to me, and I may have to even check them out.

Likelyhood of Seeing at Coachella: Maybe, just maybe..
