So I was reading The Couch Sessions a few months back and saw that Stone mentioned Amy Winehouse in a post. I could of checked her out at the time, but I couldn’t be bothered and never did. Fast forward to a few short months later and I noticed more people raving about her album “Back to Black”. Once again, I ignored it. Her album came out locally a few weeks back and got raves in the local press and online, so I decided to check it out. This is the real deal folks - people hyped up Joss Stone but Amy brings it, not only with her amazing voice but with the interesting tales she tells in her songs. Forget about Lily Allen’s Smile being a cute clever song, if your not hooked on Rehab then you refuse to like catchy, clever music.
